A forklift to be a successful model should be built strong to last the working conditions for many hours of use. It has to be able to move loads quickly and efficiently too. The equipment has to be both ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator too.
The Yale powertrain is rugged and reliable. It has to be powerful enough to continually deliver amazing durability through its computer-managed transmission and engine. It offers state-of-the-art clutch packs along with strong gears and extremely tough shafts. The drive, steer axle, engine and transmission are all isolated so as to reduce both vibration and noise inside of the operator's compartment.
Mazda and GM LP & Gas Engines:
The GM Gas and Mazda LP Engines are made from cast-iron blocks for long life. These kinds of machines provide an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system that requires minimal adjustment or repair. These kinds of engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats that minimize wear.
Cummins and Yanmar Diesel Engines:
Within the Yanmar and Cummins diesel engines, a high compression ratio offers exceptional torque. Remarkable fuel consumption is provided by efficient fuel systems.
Regular Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The standard Electronic Powershift Transmission features gears that are 15 percent stronger and shafts that maximize resistance to rough driving. The strong clutch packs offer 3 times the life of preceding packs. Lastly, there is electronic inching available that adjusts automatically so as to reduce maintenance requirements by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
The Techtronix Transmission utilizes computer-controlled power reversal to increase durability, extend the life of the tires and to eliminate shock loading. Furthermore, the auto deceleration feature lessens break pedal usage and break wear.
Drive Axle:
Designed for extra strength, the drive axle features its full floating, brake drum mounting axle shaft and the pinion gears and strong ring. This component also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes which are practically maintenance free and entirely sealed against contamination.
Steer Axle:
The Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design to protect the steer cylinder from debris and damage. It has fixed-length tie rods to add more durability and stability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. As well, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and reduces wear.
As part of Yale's standard packages, they have included numerous ergonomic features and safety features. These machines will handle tough settings, while keeping the operator both comfortable and safe for the duration of their shift.
